An e-book titled "ICT in Agriculture: Perspectives of Technological Innovation" has been compiled under the auspices of, and supported by the European Federation for Information Technologies in Agriculture, Food and the Environment (EFITA) and the Samuel Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology. It is now freely available from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Center for Agricultural Economic Research at

The papers in the book represent more than two decades of experience in ICT adoption in Agriculture. They will be background subject matter for discussion and evaluation during the ICT Adoption Sessions and Plenary in the conference.

Conference papers presented in the EFITA/WCCA 2005 Joint Conference will be screened for possible publication in a special issue of the Computers and Electronics in Agriculture Elsevier Journal. Authors of the selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their works to the Guest-Editors, José Boaventura and Andy Offer.

Conference papers will be also considered as submissions to the Journal of Information Technology in Agriculture - JITAG. Authors are invited to submit their conference papers to the Editor of JITAG, Fedro Zazueta.

Note that due to the Publishers policies, the same paper will not be published in both journals.

The EFITA Questionnaire is part of a 6 year study and will be part of the conference's ICT Adoption plenary session. Please fill in this years' EFITA ICT Adoption questionnaire. If you are attending the conference it can be handed in as hard copy. Otherwise please send your filled in questionnaire to Ehud Gelb Only "Country" and "Occupation" are mandatory inputs.
